Revelation 1:15-20 King James Version (KJV)
15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;
20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.
Revelation 2:1 King James Version (KJV)
1 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
What the seven are saying:
The description of the voice coming from behind John continued; His feet were like fine brass. They resembled the feet of someone who’d been burned in a furnace. His voice was powerful, it sounded like the sound of many waters.
As John looked closer, he saw in the right hand of the One he described, seven stars; out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword. The facial profile was like the sun shining in full strength. When John had seen enough, he fell out like one who had died.
Then John was touched with the right hand of the Being who said to him, “Do not fear; I am the first and the last, I am he that lives, was dead, but now I am alive forevermore; amen. I have the keys of hell and of death. Everything you have seen, write it down; even the things that are to come afterwards.”
John was commanded to write out the mystery of the seven stars that he saw in the right hand of the First and the Last. “The seven stars and the seven golden candlesticks; the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven candlesticks are the seven churches.”
From here, the angel of each church began to speak to John as he wrote down their message for the sons of Adam. The angel of the church of Ephesus proclaimed these are what He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks (churches) says!
