Rebellion – The Principle of Obedience was Broken

Rebellion – the principle of obedience was broken. History shows us and life presents that a single event in the beginnings of history that changed the world forever for human beings, biblically known as the sons of Adam. That event was an act of independence, a revolt, a rebellion, which came from a broken principle.

The principle that was broken was the principle of obedience. Once broken, it led to a series of events that has the world sitting in a quarantine lockdown, economic collapse, and the pressures of war very eminent. Take a sneak peek at how it all went down:

1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

Ye Shall Not Surely Die

Greed, unaligned desires, ignorance, whatever we want to chalk it up to, Adam and Eve fell for it. The serpent baked the cake for them with a little leaven; “Ye shall not surely die!”

In reality, Eve should have run from the serpent. She should have run faster than Florence Griffith-Joyner, Carmelita Jeter, Marion Jones, and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce all put together (fasts women in the 100 meters). But instead, she engaged in conversation, because she was deceived, but deceived by her desires.

5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

Obedience Better Than Sacrifice

It’s too late to return the product or complain about the service. They rebelled and must now and are now paying the consequences. Obedience is better than sacrifice, and to listen than giving the fatted ram. Rebellion is just like the transgression of witchcraft and stubbornness is like the sin of iniquity and idolatry (1 Samuel 15:22-23).

They rejected the word of the ALMIGHTY and HE also rejected them from being king and having dominion over the earth. They are now subject to the rules and authority of their new master, the serpent. This is until they are redeemed on the earth.
