Ye Have Not Obeyed My Voice

We are not talking about “my” voice either…

Very often we see people get caught up with the wrong crowd. A sweet young little child grows up to become a ferocious human being, all because of the environment they kept or was forced around during his or her upbringing.

It is possible to make nonverbal leagues and associations with people just by being in their surroundings, and adopting the habits they possess. In Judges 2:2, the angel of the God of Israel approaches Joshua and the elders of Israel to confront them about a decision they’d made.

Ye Have Not Obeyed My Voice

Israel made a decision without consulting their King, their King whom brought them out of Egypt and kept them in the wilderness forty years. Israel went and made a covenant with a people God said to destroy to the ground.

2 And ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; ye shall throw down their altars: but ye have not obeyed my voice: why have ye done this?

Ye Have Not Obeyed My Voice

Israel did not obey the voice of God. Plenty people to enter agreements, marriages, and all other types of associations without seeking the counsel of the Lord. Why are they doing this? The consequences can be just as harsh as it was for the children of Israel.

3 Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you.

Don’t allow someone to become a snare to you or your family. Do not make associations and leagues with people without counseling the Lord your God. We do not want to hear the words, “ye have not obeyed my voice!”
