Daily Wisdom Bible Study – The Liberal Soul Shall Be Made Fat
21 Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.
It does not matter if the world joins hands together in wickedness, they will all be punished. It does not matter if you join hands and shake on an evil deal, the wicked will not go unpunished. The righteous and the children of righteousness will always be delivered, even in death. This makes it important for us to always do right, even in the face of evil.
22 As a jewel of gold in a swine’s snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.
Gold looks well, dazzling things look nice, but gold sitting on a pig is still resting on a pig. The woman that is without discretion is just like a pig wearing gold or nice apparel. No matter how good-looking the woman is, without discretion, she stinks. It’s because she has a bad attitude thus she is similar to a pig that has on shiny ornaments.
23 The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath.
The righteous desire good things. When a righteous man wants money, it’s always for the good of many people. It’s not just for himself or his selfish desires. But what we can always expect for the wicked is wrath, evil, and anger.
24 There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.
We have people who spend recklessly and without discretion sometimes yet they still increase their wealth. This is because they understand wealth goes beyond financial wealth.
Then we have those who save and put away money all the time. However, because of their scarce mentality and selfishness, they tend to poverty even though they save and don’t spend. This is because poverty is not limited to financial poverty.
25 The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.
The liberal soul will be made fact; this means those who freely give will always be receiving. They will be made fat because they will always receive because of their giving nature. The man that waters his plants as in watering others with knowledge, with assistance, financially, with emotional support, he also will be watered by the Almighty and by other people. Therefore, be a liberal giver than someone who is always withholding and putting away.
