Wisdom is the principal thing, but with all your getting get understanding, the scripture says! May the Creator enrich you this day! Please remember, it is not everyday people get to study the Word freely and dig down into what the scripture is teaching us for our every day lives. This is why reading the proverbs are very essential and sharing it also!
Daily Wisdom Bible Study – He that Winneth Souls is Wise
26 He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.
Selfishness is something that rides in the bones of all flesh, but through the spirit of the Almighty we need to rid it all, and be as the Almighty who gives freely to the just and unjust. Withholding is selfish and lacking change, it will lead the people to cursing such a person.
He that Winneth Souls is Wise Seeketh Good
27 He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.
If we are diligently seeking the good of all things, we are going to increase our favor with man and with the Creator. If we seek disobedience and misconduct, those things will surely come to us. Whatever we think upon will arrive, be it good or bad.
28 He that trusteth in his riches shall fall; but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.
If you trust in monetary riches, be sure to know you will eventually fall because money grows wings and flies away. It is not a bad thing to become rich, but to put your trust in your riches is folly. The righteous trust on the Most High always. This is why the righteous flourish like a branch.
29 He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.
Giving trouble to your own house, even when you believe you are doing the house well, you will eventually inherit nothing. Be wise or you will be the servant to him who is wise in mind.
He that Winneth Souls is Wise
30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
The thoughts, deeds, actions, and things of the righteous are a tree of life to him and those associated with him (or her). It is a wise thing to win souls to the Most High. The scripture says winning souls whips away a multitude of sins.
31 Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.
The righteous will be repaid in the earth, as opposed to heaven. The idea or question is, how much more will the wicked and the sinner be repaid on the earth as opposed to hell? Everyone is going to receive rewards for their deeds, whether they are good rewards for righteous deeds or bad rewards for evil deeds. Praise the name of the Most High.
