Kingdom of Priest: The King and Lord of Host According to Daniel the Prophet

The King and Lord of Host According to Daniel the Prophet

The next prophet is the prophet Daniel. Daniel certainly knew about the coming King, and the restoration of the nation of Israel. He also knew about the restoration of the entire world, by the King from the Heavenly Kingdom.

In fact, Daniel talked extensively about the Lord’s Kingdom.

As Daniel continued to inquire about the visions he’d been shown, he was told to rest and await his position in the Lord’s Kingdom. While interpreting a dream, Daniel commented heavily on the coming King and His Kingdom, when it would appear, and even how.

See Daniel chapter 2:

44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

In the last days, the kings of the earth will be visited by the God of Heaven, who will do something literally unheard of to mainstream people and even mainstream churchgoers. God will set up a kingdom that will not be destroyed, neither will it be left to another people.

His Dominion is an Everlasting Dominion

God’s kingdom will break in pieces anything that does not conform to the structure, culture, laws, ordinances, and the ways of His Kingdom! Daniel continues on this vision in chapter 7 of his writings:

14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

Dominion, glory, and power is given to the King of kings (Jesus Christ) that all people should serve Jesus the Christ; and His dominion is an everlasting one and His Kingdom will not be destroyed.

Furthermore, the King will have His Kingdom here on the earth, and the Kingdom will be co-ruled with and by His saints. This is the way the great prophets have it written in the ancient texts we are reading together.

The Kingdom is Still the Lord’s

27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

Rulership and dominion is what God is about, even for mankind! Rulership and dominion is what was originally given to Adam. God is coming to the earth to show us firsthand how to rule! There will be multiple kings on the earth, but One will be King over them all.

Obadiah said that saviours will come upon mount Zion to judge the house of Esau, and the kingdom will be the Lord’s. Although we rule in the kingdom, the kingdom is still the Lord’s (Obadiah 1:21).
