I Will Kill Her Children with Death: Seven Verses

Revelation 2:23-29 King James Version (KJV)

23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.

25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.

26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

28 And I will give him the morning star.

29 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

What the seven are saying:

In these seven verses, we continue the warning from the Angel to the church of Thyatira. If you recall, Thyatira had good works, good charity, but they suffered that woman Jezebel to teach and seduce the LORD’s servants.

That woman Jezebel taught and seduced people to commit fornication and consume things sacrificed to idols. This caused the strict warnings of great tribulations. In addition, the Angel declared the LORD will kill her children with death and from there all the churches will know that “I AM He!”

They will know the LORD searches out the reins and heart, He knows everyone’s thoughts and feelings. The Sovereign LORD and King will give out to every one according to their workings. Nevertheless, to the remainder of the people of Thyatira who do not have this doctrine (teachings); to those who do not know the depths or deepness of Satan, the LORD said He will not input upon them any other burden.

Whatever truth they have, they are to hold onto it vastly and whoever overcomes and keeps the LORD Jesus’ works to the end will be granted power over the nations! They will rule with the LORD with a rod of iron, shattering rebels like vessels of a potter, just as Jesus received it from our Heavenly Father.

Those who overcome will also receive the morning star; whoever has the ear the hear, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. Seven verses!
