Into Numbers chapter 25 summary, where the Israelites took to worshiping Baal. As the Israelites took abode in Shittim, the people began to have fleshly whorish relationships with the daughters of Moab.
Moab invited Israel to their sacrifices, which were to their gods, and Israel RSVPed and went in, ate, and gave obeisance to the gods of Moab. They joined themselves to Baal Peor and it angered the God of Israel greatly.
God’s immediate reaction was for the leaders of the people to be hung before the sun to execute God’s fierce anger toward them. In addition, this would dissuade the remainder of them from following in the footsteps of the rebellion.
Numbers Chapter 25 Summary
Phinehas, the grandson of Aaron, killed a man and Midianitish woman and in doing this, he was able to stop a plague God began to circulate in the camp. Still, a total of 24,000 people died in the plague.
Because Phinehas was zealous for the Lord, God gave him His covenant of peace, to him and to his children after him, a covenant of an everlasting priesthood. The scripture says that Phinehas made an atonement for the children of Israel.
The chapter concluded as God commanded Moses to vex the Midianites and kill them because they vexed Israel with the wiles of their fornication.
And this is the summary of Numbers chapter 25, glory be the Yahawah the Lord.

So what exactly was the plague?
Good day sister Christy, the chapter didn’t tell exactly what the plague was. However, plagues are like pestilences, which are diseases. It could have been something like Cornovirus/Covid-19 that is plaguing the world today. It took the demise of the perpetrators of that grave sin for the disease to be stopped.
