Chapter Summary: Exodus Chapter 36 Summary

In Exodus chapter 36 summary, the people whom God put the wisdom and understanding to work in the service of the sanctuary all worked. And they all did a beautiful job.

Bezaleel and Aholiab were two by name that Moses called who were wise-hearted from the Lord who gave the wisdom. The Lord also stirred them up to come and work; much as the Lord does today (you think you wanted to be an engineer on your own?).

Moses launched a crowdfunding campaign to fund the building of the Temple that he eventually had to put on pause. The people’s contribution and the offering were so much it had to be discontinued in order for work to get done.

Exodus Chapter 36 Summary

So every wise-hearted man went to work on the Tabernacle. Curtains were made, attachments used by goat hair, acacia or shittim wood, and a covering made of ram’s skins. The ram’s skin covering was dyed red, and there was another of badgers skin.

The interior curtain was made of linen, woven together in blue, purple, and red wool. And it was embroidered with the figures of the cherubims with their wings stretched out. Four pillars of shittim or acacia wood were made and they were overlaid with gold; it was truly a great sight.
