BSM- THANK YOU for your question and answers. I had a question based on your last response in the article titled: How to Gospel to the Person Interested to Learn More?

You wrote, “Jesus Christ, for example, was never buried in the ground as we traditionally do it today. He was put in a tomb”

Then how would you answer the scripture below?

“For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth” – Matthew 12:40

Jesus was in the ‘heart of the earth’, wouldn’t this imply being buried in the ground?

Thank you for this question sis Yahnapha, AND for being a great child of our Father. Remember, Christ, speaks in parables. He was not speaking of His physical body (alone), but His Spirit body. His physical body lay in a tomb, not buried in the ground.

The heart of the earth is where the rebellious spirits who left with satan were kept. This is a realm within the earth, physical men cannot see. This is our conclusion:

1 Peter 3:19: “By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;” – again Peter spoke about this realm (even calling it hell, where Christ said the Father would not leave my soul in hell, right?). In addition, in 2 Peter 2:4 “For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;”

Don’t Leave Me In Hell

Even Elder Jude, another of Christ’s apostles spoke on this, Jude 1:6 “And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.”

This is where Christ went before being resurrected; to do what, preach to the spirits in prison! Acts 13:29 tells us he was placed or laid in a sepulcher. A sepulcher is a small room or monument, cut in rock or built of stone, in which a dead person is laid or buried. Luke 23:50 also says he was placed in a tomb, cut into a rock (not in the dirt).

Joseph of Arimathaea, in Matthew 27:60, laid Christ in his own “NEW TOMB” which was hewn out in the rock. Ministers for ages have assumed things and it has been the way until 2020; Christ has freed us from the church of Satan and the captivity thereof if we walk out.
