Behold Your King Comes to You
Here is the burden of the word of the Lord in the land of Hadrach along with Damascus. This is the burden and judgment when the eyes of man and the tribes of Israel will be towards the Lord. The land of Hamath, bordering Tyrus and Zidon, will think to be very wise.
Tyrus did build herself very strong with nice strongholds. They heaped up silver in their land like dust, and gold like the mire of the streets, they were very rich. However, the Lord will bring her down and throw her out.
The Lord will tap her main source of wealth in the seas, sinking her ships and she will be devoured with fire. Tyrus’s neighbors, Ashkelon, will see it and become very fearful. Gaza also will see the demise of Tyrus and become very sorrowful, as well as Ekron.
The Lord will cut off the pride of the Philistines…
What these nations expected will turn into shame, and the kings of Gaza and Ashkelon will perish; their cities no longer will be inhabited. A fatherless generation will dwell in Ashdod and the Lord will cut off the pride of the Philistines.
“I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth,” says the Lord! Whoever remains, such person will be for our God, and he will be as a governor in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite.
“I will encamp about My house because of the army and because of those who pass by,” says the Lord. “No oppressor will pass through them anymore because now I have seen with My own eyes,” says the Lord.
Behold your King comes to you…
Therefore, rejoice greatly you daughters of Zion, shout out loud to the Lord, your daughter of Jerusalem. Behold your King comes to you, and He is just, humble, and has salvation. When you see Him, He is riding a donkey.
He will be with a colt, the foal of the donkey. “I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem and the battle bow will be cut off also,” says the Lord. The Lord will speak peace to the nations, and His dominion will be from sea to sea, river to river, to the ends of the earth.
As for Judah and Israel, by the blood of your covenant with me, the Lord has sent you out from prison. You have been freed from the pit where there is no water. Turn to the Lord, your stronghold, all you prisoners of hope.
Do it today.
“I declare that I will give you double for all of your trouble,” says the Lord. “I will use Judah and Ephraim as a bow and arrow, and raise your sons, O Zion, to attack the Greeks; you will be my sword,” says the Lord.
The Lord will be seen over all of them, and His arrows will go like lightning. The Lord God will blow the trumpet and will go with whirlwinds of the Southlands. The Sovereign Lord will defend His people, and they will devour and subdue the lands with slings.
They will drink and make noise with wine and they will be filled like a full bowl during oblations. The flock of the Lord’s people will be saved in that day, the Lord their God saving them. They will be like the stones of a crown, lifted up like an ensign on His land.
How great is His goodness, and how great is His beauty? The meat of the land will make the young men cheerful, and new wine will make the young maidens glad. Blessed is the Lord.
