Joshua Chapter 18 Summary: Chapter Summaries

Joshua chapter 18 summary, we’ll find Joshua hand out the rest of the land to the children of Israel. The chapter began as the whole congregation gathered in a town called Shiloh.

They were gathered there because they’d subdued the land in Shiloh. Still, at this time, seven tribes out of twelve had not received their land as a possession. Joshua jumped on the people because they’d become slack and loose regarding the overtake of the land that was given to them.

They set a strategy to claim the rest of the land. The plan was for the tribes to send three men out of each of the seven tribes (who had not possessed their lands as of yet) to spy the land.

They would go up and divide the land into seven parts (none for the Levites whose part was the priesthood of the LORD). The men went and did as they were instructed by Joshua.

And Joshua cast lots for them, and the children of Benjamin came up first and their land was between Judah and Joseph. This was their inheritance and they had twelve cities within their lot of land.

This is where Joshua the eighteenth chapter summary comes to an end. Glory to the Holy One of Israel.
