The Spirit of Knowledge and of the Fear of the Lord – Isaiah 11 Reframe, BibleStudyMinistry.com. After the forest was cleared with an ax and Lebanon fell before the Mighty One, the stump shot up.
A branch will spring up from the stump of Jesse, and a sprout from his roots will bear fruit. The Spirit of the LORD ALMIGHTY will rest upon Him; the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and strength.
Again, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD ALMIGHTY. Yes, He will delight in the fear of the LORD; He will not judge with His eyes. He will not go by what His eyes see or decide by what His ears hear, but with righteousness, He will judge.
Wolf and Lamb Chilling Together
He will judge the poor with righteousness and equity, He will decide in favor of the earth’s oppressed. The Branch will strike the earth with the rod of His mouth and slay the wicked with the breath of His lips.
Righteousness will be the belt worn around His waist, and faithfulness will be the sash around His reins. At that time, the wolf will live with the lamb, and the leopard will lie down with the goat.
The calf and the young lion and fatling will be buddies, lying down together, and a little child will lead them all. The cow will graze with the bear, their young ones will lie down together and the lion will go vegan, eating straw like the ox.
The Root of Jesse Stand Up
The infant will play by the cobra’s den, and the toddler will reach into the viper’s nest. These beasts will neither harm nor destroy on all My Holy mountain because the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD ALMIGHTY.
Just like the sea is full of water, so will the earth be full of the knowledge of the Sovereign LORD. On that day the root of Jesse will stand like a banner for the people of the earth. The nations will seek Him, and His place of rest will be glorious.
On that day the Sovereign LORD will extend His hand a second time to recover the remnant of His people. They will come from Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.
Judah and Ephraim Drop the Beef
Yes, He will raise a banner for the nations and gather the exiles and outcasts of Israel. He will collect the scattered and captives of Judah from the four corners of the earth. Then the jealousy and envy of Ephraim will depart from them, and the adversaries of Judah will be cut off.
Ephraim will no longer envy Judah, nor will Judah harass and vex Ephraim. But they together will swoop down on the slopes of the Philistines to the west; together, they will plunder the people of the east.
Yeah, they will lay their hands on Edom and Moab, and the Ammonites will be subject and obedient to them. The LORD of Hosts will devote Himself to the destruction of the gulf of the Egyptian Sea.
It Will Be Just Like the Rescue Out of Egypt
He will do this with a scorchingly harsh wind sweeping His hand over the river. He will split it into seven streams for men to cross with dry sandals.
Then there will be a highway for the remnant of His people who remain from Assyria, as there was for Israel when they came up from the land of Egypt. Praise ye the Sovereign LORD.
Chapter Remarks
Here in chapter 11 of Isaiah, in simplicity took us on a great continuation from chapter ten. Chapter ten ended with a remnant of Israel returning in truth. Yet, they would still be consumed but the LORD ALMIGHTY will begin to deliver them.
First, the Sovereign LORD has to remove their wicked leaders, that when He chopped the bough with terror and chopped down the high ones of stature. He got rid of the haughty and arrogant one and left a stump.
Now in chapter eleven, a rod from the stem of Jesse and a Branch will grow out of Jesse’s roots. This is His Majesty, the LORD Yahoshua the Christ (Jesus Christ). He will be equipped with everything to take, keep, maintain, and give complete rule to His servants and refurbish the earth.
Recovering His People Worldwide
His purpose is to redeem the poor, judge with righteousness and equity, and slay the wicked. He is going to utterly put the earth back under the will of the Heavenly Father, the Creator, and discard Satan’s plan and rule.
It will be a peaceful time in Mount Zion where dangerous animals will be peaceful, even changing their diets to maintain so. At this time, the MOST-HIGH will begin to recover His people from all over the world.
There will be a unique sign, banner, or signal to the nations where the LORD Most High will begin to gather His people a second time from Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath, and the islands of the oceans.
Taking Down the Oppressing Nations
The outcasts of Israel (Ten Tribes) and the scattered of Judah will return. The envy and jealousy of both these kingdoms will stop. The precept to think of here is Ezekiel 37:19-22; the Sovereign LORD will take the stick of Joseph and the stick of Judah and bring them to their own land.
They will be one nation upon the mountains of Israel with one king. They will fly back on the shoulders of the Philistines, the people of the east, and lay hands on Edom, Moab, and Ammon.
Now the prophecy started with Assyria taking out Samaria, but it ends with the LORD ALMIGHTY making a highway for the remnant of His people who are left in Assyria. He will bring them out just like He did when they came up out of the land of Egypt.
All Praise to the Creator, Our Father
This is the Most-High, this is His doing, it is marvelous and wonderful in our eyes. Praise ye the LORD ALMIGHTY.
