The Body of Christ and Temple of His Body Parable

The Body of Christ and Temple of His Body Parable: Welcome back to the M24 6th Seal Series; our last post was on CHRIST words of wars, famines, and diseases as the beginning of sorrows. In this post, the body of CHRIST and the Temple of His Body parable allows us to understand the wars, famines, and diseases a bit better.

John 2:19,21 KJV

[19] Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. [21] But he spake of the temple of his body.

When JESUS spoke of the temple, HE did not speak of the Temple that Solomon built and that the Jews refurbished. HE spoke of HIS body. Is this HIS physical body or a metaphoric body?

1 Corinthians 12:27 KJV

[27] Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

HIS body HE spoke of was metaphoric or symbolic. HE spoke in a parable speaking of the church of Israel being HIS body, as stated by Paul. The temple of HIS body is the church, beginning with the children of Israel. Now listen to this conversation, parabolically by the children of Israel.

Hosea 6:1-2 KJV

[1] Come, and let us return unto the Lord: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. [2] After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.

The LORD separated HIMSELF from the children of Israel because of their transgressions and sins against HIM. HE punished them badly because of their crimes. However, HE promised to revive them in two days and raise them up in the third day to live in HIS sight. This is exactly what CHRIST said in John 2:19. Two days and three days is not speaking of our typical 24-hour day, but a 1,000 year day.

2 Peter 3:8 KJV

[8] But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

The scriptures above show that reviving the body of CHRIST, who are the children of Israel, will be multi-millennial process. This means since the time of CHRIST on the earth as a mortal, two days of reviving, 2,000 years of reviving the church will take place. Therefore the wars, famines, and diseases will be part of the reviving as much as it is them being torn and smitten. The events written in Matthew are layered and have happened, are happening, and will happen with greater intensity as we near the finish line.

From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. The disciples asked, “Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?”
