Sealed the Servants of our God in their Foreheads

Revelation 6:17, 7:1-6 King James Version (KJV) – Sealed the Servants of our God in their Foreheads

Revelation 6:17 King James Version (KJV)

17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Revelation 7:1-6 King James Version (KJV)

And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,

3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

5 Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.

6 Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nephthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand.

What the seven are saying:

In the previous seven verses, the end of the fifth seal and the sixth seal were opened and the message conveyed. The sixth seal brought on a very loud earthquake which darkened the heavens.

This caused the LORD to interfere and this scared every man on the earth; they asked to be hidden in caves and for the mountains to fall of them. This brings us to today’s seven verses. It began with the simple note at the conclusion of chapter six of Revelation; it reads the great day of the Lamb’s wrath is finally come.

The question is, who will be able to stand it? The short answer is, the righteous. We now venture into Revelation chapter 7; after the sixth seal. After all these things, John saw four angels who stood on the four corners of the earth.

Don’t Hurt the Trees or Seas

They held the four winds of the earth prohibiting them from blowing on the earth, sea, or any tree. In essence, the four angels were preventing war. Another angel went up from the east and had the seal of the EVERLASTING FATHER.

He cried with a very loud voice and spoke to the four angels who were ordered not to hurt the earth or sea. He commanded them not to hurt the earth, sea, or trees until they had sealed the servants of their POWER in their foreheads.

The number who had to be sealed was great, but it began with one hundred and forty-four thousand (144,000) of the tribes of Israel. To begin, the tribe of Juda (Judah) had twelve thousand (12,000) sealed; the tribe of Reuben, had twelve thousand (12,000) sealed, and the tribe of Gad, also had sealed twelve thousand (12,000).

144,000 of the Tribes of Israel Sealed

After this, the tribe of Aser (Asher), twelve thousand (12G) were sealed, Nephthalim (Napthali), twelve grand (12,000) sealed, and the tribe of Manasses (Manasseh) twelve grand (12,000) sealed in their foreheads.

As the enemy attempts to deliver one final blow, the LORD is preparing HIS own and hence why the servants of the EVERLASTING FATHER needed to be sealed first. Seven verses!
