Put Away Thine Abominations Out of My Sight: How does the nation of Israel return to the LORD? “If you will return, O Israel,” says the LORD, “Return to Me. If you will, put away your abominations out of My sight, then you will not be removed.

Then you will vow, the LORD ALMIGHTY lives, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness. The nations will bless themselves in the LORD, in His glory.” Because this is what the LORD says to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, “Break up your unplowed ground and do not sow among the thorns.

Circumcise yourselves to the MOST-HIGH and remove the foreskin of your heart, you men of Judah (and inhabitants of Jerusalem). Do this unless I come in My fury like fire and burn you because of your evil doings that no one can quench.

The Lion is On His Way

Declare this in Judah, and publish it in Jerusalem. Blow the trumpet in the land; cry out, gather together, and assemble yourselves. Let’s go into the defenced cities. Establish a standard toward Zion. Seek refuge; do not delay!

Because I am bringing disaster from the north and terrible destruction with it. The lion is come up from his thicket and the destroyer of the nations is on his way. He has gone out from his place to make your land desolate.

Your cities will be laid waste and without an inhabitant. Because of this, gird your sackcloth and mourn and wail, cry because of the fierce anger of the LORD ALMIGHTY has not been turned away from us.

You Have Greatly Deceived the People

And it will come to pass at that time,” says the LORD ALMIGHTY, “that the heart of the king will perish as will the heart of the princes, priests. They all will be astonished and the prophets will be astounded.”

That’s when I, Jeremiah, said, ‘Ah LORD ELOHIM, for sure you have greatly deceived this people in Jerusalem by saying to them, ‘you will have peace when indeed the sword is reaching to their soul.

At that time, it will be said to this people and to Jerusalem, “A dry wind of the high places in the wilderness will be blown towards the daughter of My people. This dry wind will be there to fan them, nor to cleanse them. It will be a full wind from the places I will declare.

Wash Your Heart From All Evil

I will pronounce judgments against this people and give them a sentence. You see, the destroyer of the Gentiles will come up like clouds and his chariots will be like a whirlwind. His horses are swifter than eagles; there is nothing left but destruction for Judah and Jerusalem, they are ruined.

O Jerusalem, wash your heart from wickedness so you may be saved. how long will your vain thought stay within you? A voice is declaring this for you from Dan, it published affliction from mount Ephraim. Warn the nation NOW!

Proclaim to Jerusalem, “A besieging army is coming from a distant land; they will raise their voices against the cities of Judah. They will surround Jerusalem like men guarding a field because she has rebelled against Me, declares the LORD ALMIGHTY.

Your own ways and deeds have brought this upon you. This is your punishment. And how bitter it is, because it pierces to the heart.

Chapter Remarks

The only way for the people of Judah and Jerusalem to return to the LORD their ELOHIM is to put away their abominations out of His sight. There is no way around this; it is so serious and simply, CHRIST came to the earth by the Father to proclaim the same things we’re reading by the prophets.

CHRIST came and declared we repent and put our abomination out of the Father’s sight or we would not be fit for the Kingdom of GOD (ELOHIM). The world will go through what the children of Israel and Judah went through because of their rebellion.

However, this chapter is focused on Judah’s time. They are commanded to circumcise their hearts or evil that they will not be able to quench will come upon them. Today, we watch many atrocities take place around the world.

The Destroyer of the Gentiles

We wonder how can this be and why would a loving CREATOR allow these atrocities to take place. We do not quite take into account that the LORD ALMIGHTY is allowing decisions to play out for everyone who is not under His covenant and obey His voice.

Jeremiah and prophets of his day who were shown what would happen to Judah and Jerusalem because of their transgressions pleaded with everyone. They pleaded with the priests, the princes, and the prophets; all to no avail.

The destroyer of the Gentiles had been contracted to conduct his full destruction of the nation. The nation’s prophets keep screaming peace, but they will blindside the masses when total destruction comes upon them. The above passage was based on Jeremiah chapter 4 (the first 18 verses).
