1 Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.

Daily wisdom. In Proverbs chapter 12, verse one says, whoever he loves instruction loves knowledge. Every so often, we will run into someone who just cannot take instructions. They are exemplifying or showing that they do not like knowledge. The Scripture says that he hates reproof or correction is brutish.

Are you familiar with what brutish behavior is or is like? A brutish person is one who is brute, and those according to the dictionary are, savage, beast-like, monstrous, animalistic, barbarians. This is what one is categorized as when they hate receiving correction.

We are to love receiving correction because it means we were out of bounds with something or out of line and we need to get back in the right path. Therefore, have tolerance when it comes to receiving correction, especially if it was given in a constructive manner.

2 A good man obtaineth favour of the Lord: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.

Looking at the second verse, it says that a good man or woman of course, obtains favor from the Lord. Look at what favor means; it is to have approval or kindness or goodwill towards someone. This is God showing you kindness and goodwill.

How many times have we seen people who seem like life always appears to be so kind to them? They always seem to have goodwill in life? These are people who God has shown favor to. These are good people.

There is always polarity in most Proverbs and in life, as the end of verse two says a man of wicked devices God will condemn. God is going to reprimand or chastise a man of wicked devices. Let your hands be clean friends and let your walk be pure so that you can obtain favor from God. Love instruction so that you can keep and add to your knowledge base, the more knowledge you have the more wisdom you can exercise.

God bless you today and remember to keep your faith in the God of Israel, even Jesus Christ.
