The Lord JEHOVAH is my Strength

It is safe to say the GOD of ISRAEL is the God the children of Jacob served in the Old Testament and also the New Testament of the Bible. It is safe to say the God of Israel went by many names … JEHOVAH being one of them (Exodus 6:3).

In Isaiah chapter 12, which is a continuing of the events taking place in chapter 11, and these events include the Lord’s return to the earth and the children of Israel returning to their land; verse two offers something we all need to revisit and allow to become apparent to us.

It says …

The Lord JEHOVAH is my Strength and My Song

2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

As the children of Israel return to their land and their God, they will say, “God is my salvation.” They will now trust in God and not be afraid. Why? They will not be afraid because the Lord JEHOVAH is their strength and song, and He has also become their salvation.

Why is this important?

It is vital for us because who is salvation granted through? Acts chapter 4 says …

11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

There is no salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given for men to be saved, save the name of Jesus. This is why it was given to Jesus Christ to come in His Father name … the name of Jesus, and not in His own name … JEHOVAH!

This little verse here in Isaiah is a mouthful speaking volumes, yet it is not very known. It is to you today!

JEHOVAH has become our salvation, and it is marvelous in our eyes!
