I Desire to Know How to Pray and to Listen and Hear from God

What Bible Study topic, subject, or chapter would you like to learn in more detail? We are opening those again now that the Father is once again, sending His Spirit to gather His saints once again for the last time; we feel the need to address questions.

Many of the questions are not asked clearly, but we’ll do our best to answer them as well as we can.

Today’s question is:

I desire to know how to pray, how to listen and hear God, how to repent truly, how to do spiritual warfare, how to recognize the holy spirit,

This is a great question; How to pray? Generally speaking, we have been mistaught by our leaders in many subjects of GOD. Therefore, we have to unlearn and dismiss many of the teachings we’ve had over the years. One of which is how to pray. Prayer is asking.

You cannot ask your Father in Heaven for anything if you are not keeping His commandments (John 9:31, Proverbs 28:9). Our Father in Heaven does not hear vanity and will not regard it; this means you asking for a new car to look good in is of no concern of the LORD (Job 35:13).

Even if you ask for the Lord’s favor on your job so you can get a raise or promotion to take your family on vacation is vanity. The LORD does not hear those prayers. Therefore, if you do not keep the law and commandment of GOD, He hears you not and your prayers are considered an abomination.

It’s like, “I dare you ask Me for something and you are doing NOTHING I ask!”

That’s how Proverbs 28:9 comes off to me (that’s just me).

Prayer, then, is to petition or ask for the will of God to be done for you or someone else. Prayer is the keeping of GOD’s commandments and if you understand God’s commandments, you know what I’m speaking of. How to listen and hear God is to first, repent of your sins and be baptized. Then you should meditate; meditate on the LORD. I practice meditation; before I go into meditation, I pray the prayer of Daniel and ask the LORD what He wants me to do and to know. Then I sit quietly. I have another secret, but that is for serious disciples. Email me!

How to truly repent? Do you know when you offend someone and you’re truly sorry versus when you just say you’re sorry? When you realized, truly, that you have “messed” up, you truly repent and change that behavior. When you truly realize your ancestors “messed” up, you truly repent and change the behavior of your current family.

Example!

If you are racist, you repent and begin to show love to all nationalities (change of individual behavior). If your ancestors were racist and benefited from their racism, you ask for forgiveness of your ancestors and attempt (in your power) to right their wrongs.

How to do spiritual warfare? This takes a lot of faith; After you’ve done the above, learned the right way to pray, how to hear from God, truly repent, spiritual warfare will take a bit of consecration. Find all your lustful joys, and do as Daniel, eat no pleasant bread for an allotted period of time, and devote to the conquering of the battle, the spiritual warfare.

You’ll recognize the Holy Spirit because the Holy Spirit is Wisdom. In Proverbs 8, Wisdom leads you in the way of righteousness and in paths of sound judgment. You’ll be excited, you’ll cry, laugh, joy, and be led to do righteously with sound judgment. PRAISE ye the LORD.
