And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
What do you think about when you read a scripture such as the one above? Is it what God saw? The wickedness of man being great upon the earth? Or is it that every imagination of the thoughts of man were ONLY evil and continually?
Whatever thoughts come to mind for you upon reading this set of scripture should be meditated upon by the reader. However, what comes to thought for me is that… well, thoughts are things. Thoughts drive up to take the actions we take on a habitual basis.
We can look around the world and tell as a species, our thoughts are not in the right place. This is because of the violence corruption and wickedness taking place around the world right now, and people are doing very little to correct it.
In Psalm chapter 82 it says:
3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
Defend the poor and fatherless, provide justice for those afflicted and who are in need. Deliver the poor out of the hand of the oppressed – as the children would say, “it must be opposite day because none of this takes place.
God saw the wickedness of man was great in the earth and God, the Creator, became upset to have created mankind on the earth.
God was grieved about it; and so am I and probably you also to witness all that takes place on the earth. As a Bible believing Christian, we must cleanse our thoughts, dwell on God’s Word, keep God’s commandments, bring light to darkness, sight to the blind, defend the poor fatherless, and widow.
This is when we will see changes around us; when we become full instruments to the Lord’s use!
Peace and Blessings in Jesus name!
