The heavens and earth were completed and on the seventh day, the LORD GOD rested from HIS labors and blessed the seventh day. On the sixth day, Adam was created and no rain watered the ground because the man was not yet formed.
The LORD formed HIM and gave him life and he became a living soul; Adam was given the command to keep and dress the garden. He could also eat freely from every tree except one, knowledge of good and evil.
In addition, Adam was placed into a deep sleep and from this the LORD GOD gave him a wife. Adam called her woman because she was taken from man; they were naked together and not ashamed (Genesis 2).
