I Will Dwell in the Midst of Them For Ever

Shhh … God plans to dwell, settle, or reside in the middle or with the children of Israel forever. This has got to be new for a lot of people, but it is not new at all.

Perhaps a lot of people know about this, but they kinda just don’t talk about it. It is like the guy who makes a million dollars a year cleaning toilets! It’s not a glorified job, so we don’t talk about it much.

Although he is a millionaire, he rarely gets invited to his child’s career day because … well, we don’t want to teach kids to go into the business or career of toilet cleaning.

So a sewer management company or a truck driving company owner doesn’t get the front page, but they do a lot of damage behind the scenes financially.

This is what this scripture is that we’re going to look at.

The front page says “God is going to take us to Heaven.” When they get specific, the front page says, the saints will be raptured to heaven with God and there they will be with Him.

Well, a good question for clarity is, who are the saints?

Most Christians do not know the story of the Bible, therefore they don’t really know what is going on and scriptures like this one from Ezekiel could cause more confusion than clarity.

See Ezekiel 43

7 And he said unto me, Son of man, the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel for ever, and my holy name, shall the house of Israel no more defile, neither they, nor their kings, by their whoredom, nor by the carcases of their kings in their high places.

God’s throne, and where the Most-High will rest His feet, where He will dwell, will be in the midst of the children of Israel forever.

Are the children of Israel the saints?

Historical Recap:

The Most-High made a covenant with Abraham. The covenant passed to Isaac and Jacob (notice the name). The covenant gave them land forever on the earth. Later on, a separate covenant was made with Jacob’s (notice the name) children (the 12 tribes).

This covenant established an adoption, a name change (Jacob to Israel), and a church. It also made the physical children of Israel the spokespersons for the Most-High. Spokespersons of a church are usually known as priests.

The children of Israel became the church, an international church engrafting any nation or person that felt pleased to join into God’s covenants. In short, anyone who desires to join the international church of Israel (God’s name) and do the actions of the covenant, becomes a saint.

I’m sure this is a mouth full if you’re new to the Bible, I know, BUT it is the way it goes and is for seasoned Bible studies. In essence, the Most-High will dwell with His church, His Saints forever on the earth!

9 Now let them put away their whoredom, and the carcases of their kings, far from me, and I will dwell in the midst of them for ever.

Therefore, let the Church put away their whoredom, and all their old evil ways because the Creator, the Most-High Jesus is coming to dwell with them, with us, forever.

I will dwell in the midst of them for ever
