Greetings from Bible Study Ministry, welcome to another day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Below are some verses from Proverbs, we believe are timely thought worthy proverbs, and will be assistance to our walk with Jesus Christ and the Father. Although we are told to get understanding with all things, wisdom is the principle thing. It is wisdom that will prolong our days! God bless you this day!
Daily Wisdom Bible Study – Every Word of God is Pure
4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell?
These are some of the more and important questions in the Bible. Who has ascended or gone up into heaven or who has come down from heaven? Who gathers the wind in his fist? Who has bound the waters in a garment? And who has established all the ends of the earth? Now the key question here is what is his name and also what is his son’s name, tell me if you can? Here in the old testament we have the father and the son! And they are the only beings (aside from the heavenly angelic hosts) to come down and go up to heaven.
The Goodness of the Word of God: Every Word of God is Pure
5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
We are shielded when we put our trust in the word of God. The word of God (Jesus) is pure that is why we can trust it!
6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
Many people and to the word of God, they add to the Scriptures and some even take away from the Scriptures; this is not a good practice!! Keep the word as it is and trust in the Lord. If you do not, someone who does trust in the Word and reads it and does what it says, will come along and reprove you and you will be found to be a liar.
Every Word of God is Pure and Righteous
7 Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die:
8 Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:
9 Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the Lord? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.
This wise man asked the Lord for two things during his lifetime. He asks for vanities to be removed far from, and for him to have what is convenient for him. Because if you have too much it can lead you to become vain and disregard the Lord. If you have too little you may disobey the Lord and take his commandments (thou shalt not steal) for naught.
