Declare This in the House of Jacob and Publish it in Judah

Declare This in the House of Jacob and Publish it in Judah: It will come to pass that people will ask why does the LORD our Elohim do all these things to us?

This is what you will answer, Just like you have forsaken Me and served strange gods in your land, so will you serve strangers in a land that is not your own.

Go, declare this in the house of Jacob and publish it in Judah and say; Hear this O foolish and senseless people, who have eyes but can’t see. Listen you dumb, who are without understanding yet have ears but cannot hear.

A Revolting and Rebellious People

Do you not fear Me, declares the LORD ALMIGHTY? Do you not tremble before Me, the One who set the sand as the boundary of the sea for a perpetual barrier that it cannot cross? The waves surge and beat against it but they cannot prevail.

They roar loud, but cannot cross it. You won’t fear Me? Ah, this people have a revolting and rebellious heart; they are revolted and are gone. They haven’t said in their mind once, Let us fear the LORD ALMIGHTY our Elohim, who gives the rains.

He gives it in the autumn and spring, continuously in their seasons; He keeps for us the appointed weeks of harvest. Your iniquities have diverted these promised blessings from you; your sins have deprived you of My bounty, says the LORD ALMIGHTY.

Lying Makes Them Powerful and Rich

Among My people are found, wicked men. They lay in wait like a man setting a snare, they set a trap to catch men unawares. Just like cages full of birds, so their houses are full of deceit. This is how they have become powerful and rich, by deceit.

They have grown fat and smooth, sleek, yes, they have excelled in evil matters. They have not taken up the cause of the fatherless, so they might prosper, nor have they defended the rights of the needy. Shouldn’t I visit them for these things, declares the LORD ALMIGHTY?

Shouldn’t I avenge Myself on such a nation as this? A horrible and shocking thing has happened in the land. The prophets prophesy falsely, the priests bear rule by their own means, and here is the shocker; My people love to have it this way.

Jeremiah 5

The people love lies and oppression. Yet, what will you do at the end of it all?

Chapter Remarks

The remainder of Jeremiah’s chapter 5 is tough to swallow. The people of Judah and Jerusalem are given the script of what to say when they are in captivity.

When they are asked why their conditions are thus, the Good LORD ALMIGHTY already gave them what to say. “We served strange gods in our land, so now we have to serve strangers in a land that’s not ours.” The ALMIGHTY is fascinating!

It’s odd that where we finish writing here, we actually have to hit a button that says “publish.” This was the next thing the chapter required us to do; declare this to the house of Jacob and publish it in Judah.

The LORD Perplexed by Behavior

The people of the LORD ALMIGHTY are foolish and without understanding. They have senses but refuse to use them, it is a modern-day wonder. A man can tell you how to get to 47th street in Chicago, but cannot tell you how to get to the kingdom of the ALMIGHTY Elohim.

The MOST-HIGH is so perplexed by the behavior of His covenanted people He had to ask. The waters of the oceans obey Me, animals listen, trees, yet My people won’t hear a word. Amazing! They are rebellious; never considering the ways of the LORD ALMIGHTY.

But here is why; their iniquities, our sins have held all the good the MOST-HIGH of Heaven and Earth wants to give us and them. He will not give good to sinful people, because they will sin more and more.

Loving the Abusive Husband

They do not help the fatherless, they judge wickedly against the needy and they do not believe the LORD ALMIGHTY will avenge for this behavior. We go watch the avengers, but the chief Avenger is the LORD ALMIGHTY.

In the end, a horribly, yet amazing thing to the LORD was mentioned. He realized like a mom and dad who realize their daughter loves to be with a lying abusive husband. She loves when he leaves and returns drunk smelling like other women’s perfume.

She loves when she asks him where he’s been and he knocks her across the head. The parents try to deliver her from the situation, from the marriage, but she clings on even harder.

Love to Protest But Not Actual Change

This is the wonder and horrible thing committed in the land. Judah and Israel’s prophets are falsely prophesying; their priests rule by their own authority, not the Father’s authority placed in the Son. In this, the people love it this way.

So why do we do what we do if the people love the way it is; they love to protest a George Floyd incident, so why write, teach, and share the gospel? There are very few who hate the way life is and need an answer; they need a bit of light and hope.

They will hear the Father’s voice, they will repent, they will leave the abusive relationship and be delivered. Bless the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.
