Let All Those That Put Their Trust in Thee Rejoice

A Devotional from Psalm 5:11-12 KJV

[11] But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. [12] For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

Where is your trust placed this day? If you are rejoicing, then you either directly or inadvertently placed your trust in the Sovereign LORD of Host. This is how people SHOUT for joy because they can see the works of the LORD in their lives.

They see where the LORD Almighty defended them and blessed them. Also, the songwriter once wrote, “There’s something about the name Jesus,” and they did not lie. There is something about the name of Jesus and those of us who love the LORD’s name remain joyful in Him.

The LORD our POWER is righteous and will bless those striving for righteousness; He will surround us with a shield of favor. This is a mighty blessing and reward for the faithful, those who trust and love the name of the LORD.

Amen, today and forever!
