Listen to Me children of the world, and do what I say in order to keep your soul safely. The LORD of Hosts has provided for the father to have honor over the children. He has confirmed the authority of the mother over the sons; therefore whosoever honors their father is making an atonement for their sins continually.

The man who honors his mother is just like a man who laid up rich treasures for himself. Those who honor their father will have joy and be happy with their own children. Also, when they make a prayer, their prayer will be heard, even speedily.

This commandment comes directly from the covenant of the Most-High God; honor your father and your mother that your days may become long on the earth, which the LORD your God gave to you!
