Devotional: The Resurrection from the Dead

The Good Friday Hiccup

The Resurrection from the Dead

Luke 24:1-6

He is risen! He is risen indeed!

Luke Chapter 24

1 On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb.

2 They found the stone rolled away from the tomb,

3 but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.

4 While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them.

5 In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead?”

6 He is not here; he has risen! Alleluia!

The message shows how the resurrection of Jesus was a life changing reality to the first disciples then, and also to us now. It was life changing in how it had the power to convert all kinds of people all over the world, and how it was a part of the Gospel itself.

This past week, the annual Passover (sacrifice of Lamb of God)  and the resurrection of Jesus Christ had the power, at a greater level, to convert all kinds of people. It can convert you and your family, the church, your community, and the world.

Women First to the Tomb

Women, be strong and courageous; keep on producing people of God!

And thank you women of God for being the first to the tomb on the first day of the week, very early in the morning. The women paid attention, and went to search the Tomb of Jesus Christ and meet with our Savior and Lord.

Remember the message He sent us: “Go Tell!” The message is everlasting so keep up, go tell the people who Jesus Christ is!

Alleluia, amen!

May this resurrection of Jesus Christ brings new birth to everyone in Christ Jesus, Amen.

The Lord is Resurrected and Alive in 2017!
