In Leviticus chapter 7 summary, the law of the trespass offering is defined. The same place where the burnt offering was killed, the trespass offering is also killed and burned.
Just like the sin offering, t is also a most holy offering. There is one law for them both. As for the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings offered to the Lord God; if it is a thanksgiving offering, it would be done with unleavened cakes mingled with oil and unleavened wafers anointed with oil.
It shall be eaten completely with none left in the morning. If the sacrifice offering was a vow or voluntary offering, they could eat some the second day. However, they could not consume on the third day.
Leviticus Chapter 7 Summary
On the third day it should be burned with fire as it is an abomination to eat of it after the second day. These sacrifices could not be eaten if one was unclean, the consequence would be a removal from his people.
The chapter closes out with God commanding no consumption of fat in the ox, sheep or goat. The fat could be used for other purposes, but not to eat. Eating the fat of a beast/animal, which men offer to God, that soul was to be cut off from his people.
Like the fat, no manner of blood is to be consumed at all. Aaron and his sons were given a portion of all the sacrifices of the children of Israel for their ministering to the Lord in the priest’s office.
This is a statute forever for them. This is the law of the burnt offering, meat offering, sin offering, trespass offering, peace and thanksgiving offerings, and the consecrations. A big job for Aaron and his sons.
