Leviticus Chapter 5 Summary

Leviticus Chapter 5

In Leviticus chapter 5 summary, began with what is to be done to someone who witnesses but doesn’t do anything about it.

It’s about witnessing someone sin through vow, and they do not speak up against it; whoever does this, they also are to bear the offenders iniquity.

This chapter also goes into touching anything or anyone unclean makes the person unclean and guilty, especially once they are aware of it.

 Leviticus Chapter 5 Summary

If one swears or vows and forgets, once remembered, they are guilty and must bring a trespass offering (or sin offering) to God for their sin. Once the priests makes atonement, their sin is forgiven.

Short on the Substance

If the offender is unable to bring a lamb, because they short on funds or can’t afford, other lesser options were available like that of a turtledove (2), or two young pigeons.

If that was too hard for him, a tenth part of an ephah of fine flour would suffice.

The trespass offering concerning the holy things of God required bringing shekels of silver in addition to the ram without blemish of their flocks. This is the trespass offering for trespassing against God.
