Daily Wisdom Bible Study – the Counsel of the Lord Shall Stand
18 Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.
Correct your children while there is hope. Some people never correct or discipline their children. Later in life, their children become teenagers with a premature developed mind and are more resistant to correction, especially if their parent hadn’t been a certain way with them before. They may cry, become upset, but they will love you always if you correct them lovingly and not full of anger and despite! If you wait too long, there may not be any hope for your input any longer. It will rest on them and the Lord.
the Counsel of the Lord Shall Stand
19 A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment: for if thou deliver him, yet thou must do it again.
This verse leads itself to those who have great tempers that are short fused. Everytime they get angry, you have to bail them out or pay for any damages. If you do, just know you’ll have to do it over and over until you help reform their anger.
20 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.
I remember when I began studying the Bible; an elder told me to study hard while I’m young. He said when you become older, he said you’ll know the Word like you know yourself. Therefore, study well now, get counsel and instruction, so your wisdom is sure in your latter end.
At the End of the Day the Counsel of the Lord Shall Stand
21 There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.
Mankind has many things they have made, many of them remain in their minds, regardless of all these things, the direction from God is what will stand at the end of the day!
23 The fear of the Lord tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.
The fear of GOD tends to life, and the fear of God is departing from evil (book of Job). If you fear God, you are tending towards life eternal and will be satisfied. There also, no evil will visit you. It may call, but you can tell him to stay where he is situated; you are with the Lord.
