The Lord Rebuke Thee, O Satan: The Lord lifted my eyes to see more in the night vision. This time I saw Joshua the high priest standing in front of the angel of the Lord. Slightly to his right hand was Satan the devil, there to oppose him. The Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke the, O Satan, even the Lord that has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke you.
Is not Joshua a brand plucked out of the fire?” I looked at Joshua, and I noticed his clothing, they were filthy as he stood before the angel. Then the Lord spoke to the angels standing with Joshua, ordering them to remove the filthy garments from him.
Again the Lord said to Joshua, “I have caused your iniquity to pass from you, and I will clothe you with a change of raiment.” The Lord continued commanding, “Let them set a fair mitre on his head.”
Joshua the high priests given the right raiment
The angels before Joshua then set a fair mitre on his head, as commanded, and clothed him with the necessary garments. The Lord’s angel protested to Joshua saying, “This is what the Lord of hosts says; If you will walk in my ways, and if you will keep my charge, then you will also judge my house, and will also keep my courts.”
Joshua bowed in obeisances. The angel continued, “Last, I will give you places to walk among these that stand by.” “Therefore Joshua, O high priest, listen,” the angel of the Lord continued, “You and your fellows that sit before you.”
“Your men as well as yourself are men who people wonder at your knowledge, but watch, I will bring forth my True servant, the Branch, the Anointed One, the Holy One of Israel.” The Lord says, “See the stone that I have laid before Joshua, upon that stone will be seven eyes.”
The Lord Rebukes Satan and brings peace to Jerusalem
“I will engrave the graving and will remove the iniquity of that land in one day,” says the Lord. “In that day,” says the Sovereign Lord of hosts, “everyone will call every man a neighbor and invite them to his home to sit under their vine and fig tree.”
