The angel told Manoah his name is a secret. Manoah didn’t fully believe or know the angel was an angel. He thought it was a man. The angels of God can appear as men, for your information.
When Manoah set up the goat on the rock, the angel jumped into a flame of fire and went up in the flame towards heaven. Manoah thought he and his wife would die, but his wife told him differently. The woman had the child and named him Samson.
The child grew and was blessed by the LORD. Then the Spirit of the Lord began to move the child in the camp of Dan. As Samson got older into manhood, he got married to a Philistine woman. Samson got into wagers with the sons of the Philistines over a riddle.
