Who Only Has Immortality!
It is particularly interesting that Paul, one of the more vocal and prominent ambassadors of the Lord, and chief ambassador to the gentile people wrote that only Jesus the Holy Messiah has immortality…

Paul, in the first writings to Timothy, in chapter six, verses thirteen through sixteen wrote, he gave charge in the sight of God who makes all things alive, and before Jesus the Anointed of God, whom witnessed of God before Pontius Pilate that we keep strong in faith.
Paul is admonishing Timothy and the people in his church to keep this commandment with spot until the Lord Jesus Christ appears.
In the Lord’s time, He will show the world who is the blessed and only Potentate, which means Monarch or Ruler (especially an autocratic one), Jesus will also show the world who is the true King of kings and Lord of lords.
Many are claiming these titles, but the Lord Jesus Christ will make it official in His time. What is interesting above all else is Paul’s comments in verse sixteen, where he notes that Jesus the Holy Messiah is the ONLY ONE who has immortality (currently, particularly among those who have been in the family of mankind as Jesus Christ was), and is the only one who dwells in the light which no man can approach, whom no man has seen or can see, and to whom all honor, power, and everlasting worship be towards.
This is a mouthful, but were you able to see the hidden gem in all of these four short verses? Sure, Jesus is the ONLY Potentate, but Jesus is also the ONLY with immortality.
The question then begs to be asked, what do all people who have died from last night to the beginning of this world have currently? It can’t be immortality, because only Jesus has this!
This means they are still sleeping or dead, until the last day when the Lord Jesus awakes them and gives them their reward (which one of the rewards for the faithful is immortality). What a teaching from the ambassador (apostle) Paul.
Now the other shoe; some people have pointed out to me that when this scripture says “Who only has immortality,” Paul means Jesus is the only one who holds the keys to immortality, and the saints who have died are now alive in heaven, immortal.
To this, I can only revert back to the post the elders received not the promise, and we’ll have to start from there to put the pieces back together. You can start right now to do by reading some of our older posts. God bless in the name of the Lord.
