Fair question; if we cannot trust the Bible, does this mean our faith is lost?
No!
For years we knew the Bible had contradictions. We knew and even wrote a document stating the Bible had been tampered with.
So what gives?
In 2020, a phrase in Revelation 2:24 really illuminated itself to me. The verse reads like this:
Revelation 2:24, But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.
The portion of the verse that really illuminated itself was to those who did not have such doctrine. They did not know the depths of Satan. The adversary deceives and misleads billions of people, but the naked eye cannot detect the depths and levels of his deception. It is comparable to viewing bacteria on your hand, you can not see it. You would not even know the depths of bacteria on and in you.
When the world shut down in 2020, we all got a chance to stay home.
Some of our time at home was spent in ways that could benefit us, in my case study. Some of our time was spent in hazardous ways, watching reels and memes of cats singing or slapping, voiceovers of humor over animals, etc.
I studied; I was led to study books that had been taught to me to have been off-limits: the Apocrypha, Enoch, Jasher, Jubilees, the Book of Mormon, Josephus, and more. Reading the Apocrypha made me feel like a guy who only read the first five books of Moses compared to the man who read the entire Old and New Testament.
I had a larger perspective.
At the end of it, you’d expect me to have lost the faith. Nope, the opposite, my faith, conviction, and resolve heightened. I know more and I believe I can help people much more with my newly acquired spiritual-biblical knowledge base.
So why do I say as of 2020, you cannot trust the Bible? One, saying this will get you to read why you shouldn’t trust it anymore. Two, Moses wrote do not add or subtract from the Words of the Almighty. John wrote those who add or subtract will have plagues added to them or the enrichments of the Kingdom subtracted from them.
Yep, it is dire, but guess what, the fact that Moses and John wrote this means that someone or a group of people will do it. They will take away and falsely and erroneously add to the scriptures. In our case today, they have already done it. They have changed ordinances, changed times and laws, and broken the everlasting covenants.
We are living in an age of unprofitable inherited lies.
With that, I encourage you to reread the Bible or study with us so you can reread the scriptures with a heightened awareness of the deception. There is an hold of deception laced into the scriptures, and pointing it out may appear to make me and people like me appear to be the deceivers. To that I say, follow your spirit and the Divine Spirit.
