Lifestyles: We Have the Bigger Responsibility

Number Thirty-Six: For those who believe in the Holy One of Israel, there is a more special designation for us. If we believe wholeheartedly in the Anointed One from God, we have more to do. Healing and fixing the community lies harsher on us than it does on those outside.

We have the bigger responsibility. If we glory to call ourselves Christians, followers of Christ, we are saying a lot. We are declaring we are anointed with God’s anointing. It is us who have the anointing of the Righteous One’s Words. We then share a bigger responsibility in improving the global community.

We need to have the better self-governing capabilities in order to influence society. It is a shame for us to see and witness the works God has done in our lives and do nothing with it. It is a shame for us to read about the works God had done in the ancient days that were recorded and do nothing about it.

We Have the Bigger Responsibility

Also, in our more modern times, we shouldn’t learn of the history, prophecy, and testimony, and do nothing about it. The Master told the Pharisees and Israelites in His days on earth that great sorrows will come to them. Particularly, those of Chorazin, Bethsaida, as the Lord ministered in their cities.

If the work the Lord did in Chorazin and Bethsaida were done in Tyre and Sidon, the people of those cities would have long repented. This is from the mouth of the Master. They would be model citizens of the earth today, telling of the great wonders and mercies of God.

Capernaum also scoffed at the works of the Lord, with an arrogance that could reach to heaven. Had the once great city of Sodom witnessed the mighty works the Lord did in healing, raising the dead etc., they would have remained a city until this day. This is a big statement!!

To whom much is given…

The Lord said for this, it will be more tolerable for Tyre, Sidon, and Sodom in the day of judgment than it will be for Chorazin, Bethsaida, and Capernaum. Why? It’s really simple. To whom much is given, much is required!

Those ancient cities, which were destroyed nearly without a trace, did not witness as much as the children of Israel did during the time of the Lord’s ministry on earth. For us today, who have not seen people raised from the dead, but perhaps we trusted the Lord and went into prayer, we have an obligation.

We prayed for the health of someone who was near death. We prayed for a someone who was walking down a terrible path. And we see them healed from nearly dying, and turning from the lifestyle they were headed down. These are mighty works we cannot take for granted.

The bigger responsibility in improving the global community rest on us, keepers of the covenant of the Lord. We have the bigger responsibility. Grace, peace and strength in our work.
