Greetings from Bible Study Ministry, welcome to another day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Below are some verses from Proverbs, we believe are timely thought worthy proverbs, and will be assistance to our walk with Jesus Christ and the Father. Although we are told to get understanding with all things, wisdom is the principle thing. It is wisdom that will prolong our days! God bless you this day!
Daily Wisdom Bible Study – Honor is Not Seemly for a Fool
1 As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, so honour is not seemly for a fool.
Honoring a fool is like walking outside in July and seeing the landscape covered with snow. It is not seemly for snow in the summer nor rain in the harvest, neither should there be honor for a fool!
2 As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.
There is a cause for everything we see. If someone or a people are cursed, there is a reason or cause for it. Now it is wise for such to find out why they are cursed.
Honor is Not Seemly for a Fool: Daily Wisdom
3 A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass, and a rod for the fool’s back.
No more to say to this!
4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.
In debates or arguments, at times people tend to sink down to the babblers or fools level. Avoid doing this because it may just seem like you both are fools!
7 The legs of the lame are not equal: so is a parable in the mouth of fools.
The legs of the lame are not equal those who have good legs. Likewise the parable in the mouth of fools is not equal to those from the mouth of the wise.
10 The great God that formed all things both rewardeth the fool, and rewardeth transgressors.
God is all over the fools back today! The great God that has put everything together on this earth, also put together the rewards for the fool and sinner. Correct the foolish and the transgressor, but if they refuse, fear not because they will have their day of recognition for their foolishness and wickedness!
Honor is Not Seemly for a Fool Especially One Who Returns to Their Vomit
11 As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.
I don’t have a dog, but I hear that dogs will throw up and if it is not cleaned up, they will return and eat what they regurgitated. As unpleasant as that sounds, the fool does the same things. Returns to their foolishness and enjoys it. This really pertains to the person who is shown the truth, dances with it for a moment, only to return to the falseness of this world. This also is not seemingly to be done!
