Who Is On God’s Side?

Who is on the Lord's Side

When it comes to serving God one thing the Lord God makes clear is that we have a choice.

In Deuteronomy God told us to choose between life and death; God even told which one He recommends, choose life and live (Deuteronomy 30:19). Adam and Eve had a choice. They could speak to the tree of knowledge of good and evil or the Tree of Life. The bottom line is that everyone has a choice.

Who is On the Lord’s Side also is a choice!

When Moses returned from the 40 days and 40 nights with the Lord, Moses found the children of Israel had corrupted themselves with the golden calf. To atone for their sins and disgrace the children of Israel committed, Moses had to get eliminate some stubborn people.

Moses ask who is on the Lord’s side (Exodus 32:26)? The Levites came together!

In second Kings chapter 9 verse 32, Jehu is overthrowing Ahab and Jezebel’s reign. After destroying their kingdom, Jehu approach the castle and asks three eunuchs, “who is on my side?” They showed whose side they were on when they threw Jezebel off the balcony.

32 And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on my side? who? And there looked out to him two or three eunuchs.
33 And he said, Throw her down. So they threw her down:

They had to choose right there, right then, and GUESS WHAT… we also will have to choose who we are going to follow. Will it be the Lord or not.

God says in Revelation that He wish people would be either hot or cold, and not lukewarm (Revelation 3:16). When Jesus returns He is only looking for those who are on His side.

How do you commit yourself to the side of the Lord? Obey God’s commandments, keep His Word, keep the testimony of Jesus, and help your fellow brothers and sisters. These things are on the Lord’s side.

I am on the Lord’s side, because without him I couldn’t make it. I looks to the hill which cometh my help, and my help from the Lord. No one else can do me like Jesus. Amen
