Giving the Effort Shows the Faith

Giving the Effort shows the FaithThere is a story in Mark chapter 2 when Jesus went to Capernaum, and being the popular man He was becoming because He healed many sick and taught the doctrine with authority, many people gathered to get into the house He was teaching in.

Now Jesus was preaching the Word to those who got in. A group of men were trying to get in and they were carrying a man who was paralyzed, but they couldn’t get in. The four men set the paralyzed man down, climbed up on the roof, broke it open and slowly drop in the man into the house where Jesus was teaching.

Can you imagine the look on Jesus face and everyone else in the room seeing this happen. If I owned the house or building, I would have been like, “I know these guys didn’t just cut my roof open… I KNOW THAT!”

They did. The highlight that we need to pay attention towards is what Jesus said and did. It says when Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralyzed man, “your sins be forgiven.” Sin is what makes all people sick.

It is vital to note, giving the effort shows the faith. Our effort in a task, shows to people around us our level of belief in what we want. If you’re on the highway and your car gives out, do you think people will stop and help you if you sit in the car hoping for help or if you got out and attempting to wave someone down?

What if you got out and began pushing the car … What about with help for your business; do you think people will support you while you wish or if you get out and start making noise about what you are attempting to accomplish with your business.

The truth is, when people see your conviction or belief, they will act on your behalf as Jesus acted on the behalf of the man sick of the palsy.

Give the effort friend, and wait on aid of the Almighty God.

Peace be unto you in Jesus name.

Scripture – Mark 2:

And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.

2 And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.

3 And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.

4 And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.

5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.
