Genesis 15: The LORD ALMIGHTY Became Abram's Reward

The LORD ALMIGHTY became Abram’s reward; Abram did not know how that worked since he did not have a seed or child to inherit his reward. The LORD promised him that he would have children like the stars in the sky and like the sand on the beach shore.

The most important thing was that Abram believe the LORD and it was counted to him for righteousness. In addition, Abram was shown the prophetic visions of his seed going into another nation (Egypt) and the LORD delivering them at the end of 400 years.

The seed of Abram would come out with great substance. Abram sacrificed the animals as he fell into a deep horror of darkness; all the land he would inherit was mentioned. It was a great amount of land covering the multitude of children (Genesis 15).

Takeaways:

Principle: Faith, trusting, believing, even when you do not know how a thing will come to pass. Abram exhibited this in strong levels, becoming the father of the faithful.

History: Abram is the father of the faithful because of his faith. The prophecy the LORD shared with him and the blessings of land are also faithful historical prophecies. Abram’s descendants will come out of Egypt and will come out of the countries they have been scattered.

Prophecy: The children of Abraham are all blessed if they take on the order of Melchizedek. They will benefit from the blessings and covenants made with their forefather. Those who are spiritually children of Abraham will also have the same opportunities as the physical son. Blessed is the name of the LORD.

These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
