In Exodus chapter 40 summary, the Lord’s tent is set up. God commanded Moses to set up the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation on the first day of the first month.
The children of Israel also were commanded to put the ark of the testimony inside the tent and cover the ark with the vail. Aaron and his sons were to come to the door and were ordered to be washed with water. They were also to be anointed and given holy garments to minister in the priest’s office.
The same was to be done towards his sons. Their anointing was an everlasting anointing of the priesthood throughout their generations. Moses did all that God commands.
Exodus Chapter 40 Summary
Finally, in the first month of the second year (of their exit out of Egypt), on the first day of the month, the tabernacle was reared up. That had to be an exciting time.
Moses finished the work God commanded him, and then a cloud covered the tent and the glory of God filled the tabernacle. God’s presence forced Moses out of the tent because of the cloud that abode thereon.
