Here we are in Deuteronomy chapter 2 summary, where Moses is giving Israel his final speech or memoirs. In chapter 2, Moses continued his discourse to the children of Israel concerning their wandering in the wilderness after leaving Egypt.
They came across mount Seir and God told them not to meddle with Esau. Not to meddle means not to fight or disturb them regarding their land, because God gave them their land, mount Seir, to Esau for a possession.
Deuteronomy Chapter 2 Summary
The children of Israel walked the wilderness for forty years and lacked nothing, Moses reminded them. The Lord also told them not to meddle with the Moabites because God gave Ar to the children of Lot for a possession, just as He is ready to give the Canaanites land to the Israelites.
Esau and Ammon both succeeded the Anakims and Horims respectively to gain possession of their lands and the children of Israel were not to bother them.
However, God began to put the fear and dread of the children of Israel into all the nations round about them. One of the nations that feared greatly were the Amorites, ruled by king Sihon who God hardened his heart to fight and be delivered into the hands of Israel.
This is the summary of Deuteronomy chapter 2. Glory be to Yah.
