Welcome to Bible Study Ministry website, today we going to do a study on Daniel 6 chapter, Daniel 6, and we hope you can join us and become edified in this study of God Word via the prophet Daniel. We’ll begin at verse one and you can read from your own bible or follow the scriptures below!

Daniel 6 Chapter Study Part 1

1 It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom;
2 And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage.

[Darius comes into power for the Medes and immediately sets up one hundred and twenty princes with three presidents over them and lo and behold, Daniel was the first president he chose. These presidents and princes were set up to keep control in the kingdom.]

3 Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

[The Gentiles are ruling the entire world, and literally, the vice president is a Judean captive of the tribes of Israel (son of Jacob). This took place in Egypt with Pharaoh and Joseph, and this takes place nearly in every generation once God established the family of the House of Jacob. God’s wise priest get promoted in every generation!]

4 Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.

[Jealousy sets in and the presidents and princes look to find reason to remove Daniel. Nevertheless, righteous men do things well according to God and according to man, so they could not find any occasion or fault against the man Daniel.]

5 Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.

Part 1 – Daniel 6 Chapter Study

[This may be the single most important verse in the ENTIRE Bible and please allow me to explain why. Since the beginning of this creation, man has been tricked into an easy way to weaken him; that is through sinning against his God. When Moab wanted to curse Israel, Balaam taught Moab how to do it; it was to entangle Israel concerning the law of their God. Anytime someone is trying to get you persecuted, they will first try to get you at odds with your God.

They want you to disobey the laws of your God. Of course, true servants of God remain faithful and fall not for this entrapment, but it is the method of operation for the enemies of God. Turning you against your God is the enemies way of bringing your life to the ground. It (turning you from God by way of turn you from God’s laws) is the kryptonite for a servant of God. Think about this today, what is typically said about God’s laws? They are no more or do not have to be kept; again, enemies of God setting us up for failure!

6 Then these presidents and princes assembled together to the king, and said thus unto him, King Darius, live for ever.
7 All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.
8 Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.
9 Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree.

[In the plot against Daniel, his enemies went collectively to king Darius with a decree stating that any man asking anything of God or man for thirty days should be tossed into a den of lions. What type of people want to throw a man or woman into a den of lions over a position? Mankind, that is who! The king signed it without looking for consent from his vice president, and it was made a decree in the law of the Medes and Persians. This would be equivalent to a law passed that prohibited Sabbath (7th day worship) and required or demanded Sunday worship. Once it is law, servants of God have to be careful!]

10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.
11 Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.

[Daniel continued his normal routine, facing Jerusalem, kneeling, and praying three times a day giving glory and thanks to his God. Nevertheless, the “CIA, NSA, and FBI” were all spying and watching his every move to get him caught up!]
