Chapter Summary: Exodus Chapter 2 Summary

Here comes Mr. Moses is right, here in Exodus chapter 2 summary. In the house of a certain Levite family, a good child was born. They couldn’t celebrate the child too long because of the decree from the king of Egypt.

The child was hide three months before the mother placed the child in a basket and sailed him up the river. His sister watched in amazement as the basket floated into the compound of the daughter of Pharaoh.

Pharaoh’s daughter immediately recognized the child to be a Hebrew but had compassion on the child and took it for her own. She named him Moses, after the family name of Pharaohs. Moses grew up with knowledge he was not an Egyptian.

Exodus Chapter 2 Summary

He secretly defended and supported his Hebrew brothers. This happened to his demise as he killed an Egyptian and fled the country. He ended up in Midian with a priest who had seven daughters. Moses rescued the daughters who mistook him for an Egyptian.

Moses eventually married one of the priest’s daughters named Zipporah and they had a son named Gershom. The king of Egypt died, but the bondage continued. The Israelites cried to their God, who did not forget His promises to their ancestors.
