Another Beast Coming Up Out of the Earth as in Revelation 13: John now saw another beast coming up out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb but spoke like a dragon. This means it is being deceptive. It looks like a lamb, peaceful, non-threatening, but when it speaks, it sounds like a dragon.

It was like the little red riding hood story. The wolf was dressed up like Grandma, but couldn’t hide its teeth and voice. The beast exercised all the power and authority of the first beast whose fatal wound had been healed.

And it used all its authority to force the earth and its people to worship that beast. It worked mighty miracles, and while people watched, it even made fire come down from the sky. The second beast deceived the dwellers on earth by those miracles they had the power to do in the sight of the first beast.

There’s New Rome and Old

They had everyone make an image of the beast that was wounded by the sword, yet still lived. If you are not spiritually following along, the second beast is the United States of America.

It came upon the world scene like it was a lamb, but it is really operating in the power of the dragon. The USA worked with the first beast, old Rome, but established itself as the New Rome. Old Rome is Western Europe. Western Europe had its deadly wound healed.

New Rome (USA) exercises the same powers as the former and does great wonders. The Atomic Bomb was a great wonder that made all the nations and people of the earth fear. They made fire fall from heaven to the earth. They deceived people making them believe they were that powerful.

Revelation 13

11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

This second beast (New Rome/USA) fooled people on earth by working miracles for the first one. Then it talked the world into making an idol in the form of the beast that did not die after being wounded by a sword.

It was allowed to put breath into the idol so that it could speak. Everyone who refused to worship the idol of the beast was put to death. Now we’re getting serious. Many kingdoms were shut down if they did not do as the New Rome commanded them.

National leaders were killed publically or purposely accidentally (such as poisoned, plane crash, etc. Read Economic Hitman to learn more). All people were forced to put a mark on their right hand or forehead.

Wisdom to Understand the Number of the Beast

Whether they were powerful or weak, rich or poor, free people or slaves, they all had to have this mark, or else they could not buy or sell anything. This mark stood for the name of the beast and for the number of its name.

You need the wisdom to understand the number of the beast! But if you are smart enough, you can figure this out. He that has understanding should count the number of the beast. Count the number of the beast and compare that to the number of a man.

Man’s number is 6-6-6; with understanding, we can count the number of the beast.
