Today, we want to take a quick study on a topic titled, “Preaching Another Jesus”
Is it possible in our modern times of information access and knowledge, that we can be “hoodwinked” into believing someone who comes along preaching another Jesus?
Is it possible to be persuaded by someone who is preaching about another type of Jesus and not the one found in the Bible?
It states this is possible in the New Testament by Paul the Apostle. Many people overlooked this scripture but this is indeed one of the biggest scriptures in the entire bible and it must be explored and studied. This study is titled Preaching Another Jesus: the other Jesus we’ve been taught to love.
Let’s begin in 2nd Corinthians 11 (v4)
4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
What we want to do is follow the lineage of Jesus to identify the Jesus we want, which is the Messiah or Christ! We are going to identify Him, because Paul said if someone comes teaching about another Jesus we have to bear with them. Well along the way, we’ve had plenty of people preach another Jesus, we are not going to confront them, we are going to confront their message.
For years Jesus has been painted (against his will) as a white Caucasian male, with European descent from Rome or Italy at large. Let us go see where Jesus was born…
Micah 5 v 2
It tells us that the prophets knew where Jesus would be born; in Bethlehem in the land of Judah.
“But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, [though] thou be little among the thousands of Judah, [yet] out of thee shall he come forth unto me [that is] to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth [have been] from of old, from everlasting.”
We can confirm this in the Testimony of Matthew in chapter 2. Let’s take a look…
Matthew 2
1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
When Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea as the prophets wrote, the wise men of that day knew the prophecy and came up to see the King of the Jews (although it says King of the Jews, it is really king of Israel) to worship Him. They had to be wise; but to someone who did or does not know prophecy, they would think these men were foolish men for travelling far to worship a baby. This was no ordinary infant; it was the One that created the worlds.
Preaching Another Jesus
Today many people have problems with Jesus because some scriptures say He was from Nazareth and others mention Galilee. In St. John chapter 1 verse 46 Nathaniel asked Philip if anything good can come out of Nazareth.
This was in response to Philip telling him they have found the Messiah prophesied. This tells us that Jesus did not grow up in the best neighborhood.
The people in Jesus day were split between themselves on believing that Jesus was the Christ and the Pharisees held a solid point. He grew up in a city called Nazareth, in the region called Galilee. So if they (in that generation) did not talk to Jesus or His people to get background on His upbringing; and we in this generation do not read carefully, we can make the mistake as the Pharisees to discount Him as the Messiah or Christ.
In St. John chapter 7 verses 52, the Pharisees argued that Jesus was not the Messiah based on the fact that the scriptures never said anything about the Messiah coming from Galilee (as they believed).
Jesus never argued that point nor mentioned it because His works showed and proved who He was; but we want to get it right and make certain today. The reason why He did not grow up in Bethlehem was because of king Herod. Because Herod was attempting to kill Jesus based on the threat to his throne, Herod ordered the mass killing of baby males 2 years and under.
Joseph, the paternal guardian of Jesus fled to Egypt and waited there until Herod and his administration were dead and gone and the Father had His Son come out of Egypt, but instead of Joseph going back to Bethlehem, he went to Nazareth for fear of any follow up commotion. In a game of chess, we have to say, excellent move by the Lord. This is in Matthew 2:
19 But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,
20 Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child’s life.
21 And he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel.
22 But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee:
23 And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.
Believe it or not, this was prophesied to happen like everything else concerning Jesus. The Lord had to call His life and call the world (as in foretell it) so that we can read it in the scripture and believe that He is the One, therefore we can believe on God.
This is the ultimate test of faith, to believe what is written because Jesus said He comes in the volume of the book; it was written about Him. We now know why He is Jesus of Nazareth, and why He came from Galilee. It was to avoid Herod. However, He was truly from Bethlehem as prophesied in Micah chapter 5.
Preaching Another Jesus
Now let us trace His lineage since we now know Jesus was not born in France, England, United States, Amsterdam, or Rome (this is in no way to offend our European brothers and sisters in the faith, we only wish to shed light, edify, and establish facts).
Lets verify that He was not a Roman that happened to be born in Bethlehem; because that happens at times when a man will be from Ireland but originally from South Africa. Let’s see Jesus origin…
First, for Jesus to be from Rome or a European, He would have been a Gentile who are the sons of Japheth, according to Genesis 10 verses 5. The ruling powers of Jesus day were the Gentiles and still are in our day.
When Jesus referred to the Gentiles, and all of the apostles referred to the Gentiles, they referred mainly to the Romans or Roman guards (even the Greeks). This is because the Romans ruled over Jerusalem and much of the ‘Middle Eastern’ nations. Therefore, your Romans would be Gentiles. When we do the lineage of Jesus it should go back to Japheth, the father of the Gentiles.
Let’s take a look…
Matthew 1
1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
2 Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;
We see this is Jesus, son of David, son of Abraham… then we begin with Abraham and his son Isaac, and Jacob (later became Israel) and so on.
15 And Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob;
16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
We went from Abraham all the way to Jesus Christ; now Jesus paternal father in the flesh was Joseph, who was a Jew of the seed of David. This means Jesus according to the flesh was a Jew (from the Israelite tribe of Judah). But let’s investigate the patriarch Japheth … what we are particularly looking for is Noah and which of his three sons (Shem, Ham, or Japheth) did Jesus come through.
We’ll go to St. Luke for this…
Luke 3
36 Which was the son of Cainan, which was the son of Arphaxad, which was the son of Sem, which was the son of Noe, which was the son of Lamech,
37 Which was the son of Mathusala, which was the son of Enoch, which was the son of Jared, which was the son of Maleleel, which was the son of Cainan,
38 Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.
Jesus did not come through Japheth, this clearly shows that He was not of the Gentile family, neither was Joseph or Mary. Jesus came through Noah’s son Sem (Shem) and not Japheth, meaning Jesus was not a Gentile, but was Semitic Jesus being from Rome is just not spiritually healthy teaching of the bible.
Preaching Another Jesus
Claiming that Jesus was/is from Rome is another Jesus; the European image of Jesus is another Jesus; the commandments plainly tells us not to make any images of the Lord (Exodus 20 v4). Jesus was born on December 25th is another Jesus; the scripture just told how Herod had to kill every male baby from 2 years on down in Bethlehem just to satisfy his conscience of killing the future king of Israel.
If they knew Jesus’ birthday, they would have went to the records, located the family, found out they fled out of town and spared the life of all those poor innocent children that were killed.
Jesus, who was born in Bethlehem in the flesh, has a long time desire to dwell on the earth (Psalm 132), while the desire of the traditionally taught about Jesus wants to go to heaven. If you want to go to Heaven or believe people are in Heaven now, you have been indoctrinated or programmed by one preaching another JESUS!
Preaching Another Jesus
That is another Jesus. The traditionally taught Jesus says the dead are in Heaven (and can be caught often smiling down on loved ones); Jesus from the lineage of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob says He will not lose one dead soul, but will raise them all up at the last day.
Knowing that today is not the last day, and neither will tomorrow, we have to ask a critical question, a rhetorical question, a simply question; where are the dead? If they will be raised then most likely they are where deceased people are laid, in the ground.
The list of opposites is longer than former NBA player, Yao Ming standing on the Willis Tower in Chicago on his tippy toes, but those differences (those traditionally taught doctrines) are not found in the bible, thus they represent another Jesus.
It goes with the Bible study we did on Ezekiel chapter 13, the untempered mortar and daubing the wall.
Preaching Another Jesus
Jesus came from a people who had dark skin, in fact so dark they were compared to people who were called “black faced” people. The Jews in the scripture have often been compared to Egyptians and Ethiopians.
Be aware of the other Jesus, Satan is trying to slip everyone a counterfeit currency and those of us who do not light our lanterns will fall prey to this deception.
It says the devil will fool the very elect if it were possible; let us all pay attention, pray, and watch for those preaching another Jesus, who does not fit the bill of the Messiah we are waiting for.
Ultimately, do not think for a moment that BibleStudyMinistry.com believes Jesus skin color is the prevailing distinction between a false Jesus and a true Jesus.
Jesus message is the deciding factor and prevailing distinction, the message from the Father to keep the Commandments and the Testimony of Jesus Christ, help the poor, needy, and love each other and Love God. We’re using nationality skin and lineage to show where the deception begins.
We pray you’ve been edified and that you will help us continue to spread the true gospel. God bless. Praise the Most High God in the name of Jesus Christ, who is blessed for ever more. Amen.

Hi at first you sounded right in your explanation , but on further understanding ,it seems that you havent ead the scripture tht Paul mentioned ie { Absent in the body and present in the lord }does this not go against your teaching that the souls are dead and still need Jesus to ressurrect these souls ,maybe perharps your jesus might not be the right one?thanks john
John thanks for your comment, but can you be more specific in your comment, question, or point of correction? Thank you and bless you!
