Numbers chapter 28 summary concerns the daily sacrifices made by fire. The chapter began as the Lord spoke to Moses to remind the children of Israel to offer to the Lord His bread sacrifices made by fire for a sweet savor.
These sacrifices and offerings were was done in their due seasons. The drink offering also was poured to the Lord in the holy place, a strong wine.
Besides the daily sacrifices performed morning and evening, there was a sacrifice on the Sabbath day, with two lambs without spot, every Sabbath.
Numbers Chapter 28 Summary
This was in addition to the daily sacrifices. In the beginnings of Israel’s months, an offering of burnt offering to the Lord was required. The God of Israel continued on how Israel was to offer their sacrifices on the Passover and high days of the unleavened bread.
The offerings on the high days were in addition to the daily offerings and sacrifices by the priests. This was why the tribe of Levi could not work the traditional jobs or run a traditional business and trades the other tribes could because they were busy working for the Lord’s causes.
