The Dust Returns to the Earth
In the book of Ecclesiastes, there are plenty things to take from the writings of the preacher. The book emphasizes the vanity of life and the majority of the inhabitants of the earth, but some subtle facts are also presented.
In chapter 12, Solomon continues his emphasis of the vanity of life by pointing out some verses mankind should consider, as we all prepare for the Kingdom of God.
First thing is that we must remember our Creator while we’re youthful, energetic, and mentally resilient. If things get evil, and we get older, we may leave our Creator alone being we have no pleasure in life.
When we get older, we get closer and closer to the great “closed doors” where no one knows what goes on “in there.”
No one today knows what death is like from experience, we only know by speculation. In verse five, the writer says our fears grow and bud like an almond tree, and our earthly desires dry up because man goes towards the dead, and the family he left, goes mourning in the streets.
In the end, the dust returns to the earth, where it was taken, and the spirit of the Creator returns to the Creator who gave it. The dust returns to the earth!
That is mankind, you and I; the dead return to dust; that is the great party no man has returned from, save Jesus Christ.
The question is, the spirit returned to God who gave it, is the man alive with God in heaven?
Biblically speaking, we have the answer to that from previous publishings, but we will iron it out further in a future publishing.

1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;
5 Also when they shall be afraid of that which is high, and fears shall be in the way, and the almond tree shall flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail: because man goeth to his long home, and the mourners go about the streets:
7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
8 Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity.
