Daily Wisdom Bible Study – A Prudent Wife is From the Lord
13 A foolish son is the calamity of his father: and the contentions of a wife are a continual dropping.
If anyone is blessed oppositely with a foolish son and a contentious wife, that man has calamity in his house and deep annoyance.
14 House and riches are the inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the Lord.
Not every father will get the house and riches as an inheritance today in the flesh, and not every man will receive a prudent wife from the Lord. However, these are customarily supposed to be the standard. When a man patiently waits on the Lord to receive a “prudent” wife, that is a wife who acts with love, care, and thought about her and her husband’s future; that man will be well taken cared of all the days of his life, and so will his prudent wife.
A Prudent Wife is From the Lord
15 Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep; and an idle soul shall suffer hunger.
Being lazy will bind one like they are under anesthetics, and if one remains idle all their day, they will suffer being hungry! The best way not to become lazy or idle is to keep active!
16 He that keepeth the commandment keepeth his own soul; but he that despiseth his ways shall die.
When we keep God’s commandments, we are keeping or preserving our own soul from danger today and eternal danger later. When we despise God’s ways, we will die (kinda cut and dry)!
17 He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.
When we have charity towards the poor, we are actually lending to the poor’s Creator (our Creator). After reading this scripture, it should be a joyful thing to want to help those less fortunate. We are indeedly giving to God, and God will repay us again, now or at the resurrection.
