The Sovereign Almighty Chooses Abram as High Priest

Welcome to BibleStudyMinistry.com, your online Bible Study Supplement Source. Today, we’re reviewing a post we wrote but never published. It’s when the Sovereign Almighty chose Abram as the earth’s High Priest after His Order. Let’s look into it.

1 Now the Almighty had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will enrich thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be an enrichment:

3 And I will enrich them that enrich thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be enriched.

4 So Abram departed, as the Almighty had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

5 And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother’s son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came.

6 And Abram passed through the land unto the place of Sichem, unto the plain of Moreh. And the Canaanite was then in the land.

7 And the Almighty appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the Almighty, who appeared unto him.

8 And he removed from thence unto a mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Hai on the east: and there he builded an altar unto the Almighty, and called upon the name of the Almighty.

The scriptures above are from Genesis chapter 12.

As the scriptures above show, Abram was commanded to get out of his current country. This was Ur, Sumer, Mesopotamia – Modern day Burkina Faso stretching as far west as Chad, and south as Nigeria-Cameroon. He was to go to a land he will be shown by the Sovereign Almighty of Hosts.

Abram was chosen to be the High Priest of the Melchizedek Order. Which will be ceremonially displayed in the coming chapters. In Genesis chapter 5 and chapter 11, the High Priest or Presidency of the Order is passed down. It went from Adam to the next son.

It finally reaches Abram.

He was promised to be made into a great nation, with a great name, and be a blessing. Whoever loves Abram will be loved and enriched, whoever hates him will be hated and cursed. Abram did as commanded at the age of 75. He left with his belongings to Haran before completing the trip to the land of Canaan.

Once again the Sovereign Almighty of Hosts promised to give him all the land of Canaan. The secret or hidden mystery is the land of Canaan; what is it? Canaan, via the Hittites, ran much of South Africa; most of Southern Africa was their land.

Essentially, Abram is being promised the entire earth, but the centerpoint is the land of Shem, Africa. This land is for him and his descendants and we’ll see why soon enough.
