Welcome to BibleStudyMinistry.com a bible study supplement source for you. Today we are doing something new. We are talking about wealth, poverty, and the nations. For ages we’ve been taught to separate Church and State, when in all reality, they go hand in hand. Geopolitics, socioeconomics, and cultural ethnicity all go hand in hand. I mean, Abram wasn’t promised land in Heaven, but right here on the earth. He wasn’t given a lifestyle to live in Heaven, but on earth, as it is done in Heaven.
So why do we have the separation?
A day ago just a random thought to myself I was reminded of the cause of the poor. We have the poor because we have the rich and we have the rich because we have the poor. It stems from the attitude that some people do not want to conduct manual labor (we just observed Labor Day this week in the U.S.), but we’ve created another type of labor.
Knowledge or intellectual labor gives those who have that work a pass from doing physical labor, like planting a garden. They do not have to engage in the construction of a bed or house, sowing clothing, or feeding a horse or donkey. Leave those jobs to the regular folks. Even entertainers; if I speak for a living, tell jokes, or kick a ball through a goalpost through the traffic of defenders, I shouldn’t have to plaster walls.
Knowledge work or intellectual labor is work, do not get me wrong. If I have to use my brain energy to plan a city or a building, and I find the best people to build it, do I really have to put a nail in the door? Maybe not, but do I really have to take the lion’s share of the money the city or building produces and leave the other laborers with just enough to get by until I design my next city or building?
Ethical Wealth and Poverty
It’s an ethical question and as a Biblical student, I for years wondered how the Creator’s economy would work, especially since the Anointed Son concerning the woman who poured expensive oils on his feet said, “Because you have the poor always with you, but me you have not always.”
If we are always going to have the poor, it speaks very loudly that we should come up with better ways than imperialism, colonialism, and capitalism combined have done over the last 200 years.
Also, the Anointed Son said we would have the poor always because the world that Satan controls is one where the poor would always be left to themselves. We aren’t supposed to have a poor population if we collectively become our poor brother’s keeper.
Wealth Poverty and the Nations
Let’s take a look at some things that struck me as woe! I was watching this video on YouTube, titled Income and Wealth Inequality: Crash Course Economics #17 and they posted this image in the video:
The way they grouped the countries was odd to me and provoked the writing of this article. America and Europe were grouped together, China was by itself, and Africa was grouped with India. I concluded that Africa and India were perhaps the poorest, but China and India share the continent, so I thought they should be clumped together. Then I dove into some research of my own.
Global Wealth
The global wealth around the world is estimated to be around 260 to 270 Trillion, with a “T” US Dollars around the world. According to the video and the graphic above, the United States and Europe are less than 20% of the world’s population, yet they have over 65% of the world’s wealth. Even within, the US and EU, I’m sure there is an 80-20 rule of the wealthier few, the 20% would have and control 80% of the national wealth they globally possess (See The 80/20 Principle, Koch).
China was 20% of the world population, yet held only 8% of the global wealth. Much of that wealth has come in the last 80 years. Then last they grouped Africa and India, which made up 30% of the world population, but only held or possessed 2% of the global wealth. South America, Canada, and Australia were not even accounted for, which for population percentages, would account for the other 50% of the population according to the infographic above, and the remaining 23% of the wealth.
Africa (the Land of Shem)
When we searched what percentage of the world population Africa was, we found this. As of September 2021, Africa was estimated to have a population of approximately 1.3 billion people. The estimated global population at that time was around 7.8 billion people.
To calculate the percentage of the world population that Africa represented at that time:
(1.3 billion / 7.8 billion) * 100 = 16.67%
Africa made up approximately 16.67% of the world’s population at that point. The research also made me to please note that population figures can change over time due to factors such as birth rates, death rates, and migration. It’s advisable to consult the latest demographic data from reputable sources such as the United Nations or the World Bank for the most up-to-date information. The World Bank certainly knows population numbers…
China and India
The percentage of the world population of India and China as of September 2021 was as followS:
India and China were the two most populous countries in the world. Here are the approximate population figures for each country at that time:
- China: Approximately 1.41 billion people.
- India: Approximately 1.39 billion people.
To calculate the combined percentage of the world population that India and China represented at that time:
((1.41 billion + 1.39 billion) / 7.8 billion) * 100 ≈ 36.15%
India and China together made up approximately 36.15% of the world’s population as of 2021.
Again, please note that these figures are based on data available as of September 2021, and population numbers can change over time. For the most current population data, it’s advisable to refer to sources like the United Nations or government statistical agencies.
Europe – United States – Canada
The percentage of the world population Europe, United States, and Canada were as of September 2021 were as followed:
The approximate population figures for Europe, the United States, and Canada:
- Europe: Approximately 747 million people.
- United States: Approximately 331 million people.
- Canada: Approximately 38 million people.
To calculate the combined percentage of the world population that these regions represented at that time:
((747 million + 331 million + 38 million) / 7.8 billion) * 100 ≈ 12.63%
Europe, the United States, and Canada together made up approximately 12.63% of the world’s population as of 2021.
Review; Africa has a world population of 16.67%
Asia (China and India mainly) has a world population of 36.15%
The EU, the US, and Canada have a world population of 12.63%
Now let’s look at the individual wealth these same populations possess.
To determine the percentage of global wealth held by specific regions can be challenging due to variations in wealth distribution, assets, and economic factors. Additionally, wealth data is often reported by countries rather than regions. However, as of September 2021, here’s a rough estimate of the share of global wealth held by Europe, the United States, and Canada:
- Europe: Europe is a diverse continent with a wide range of economic conditions. It includes both highly developed countries with significant wealth and countries that are less affluent. In 2021, estimates suggested that Europe held approximately 30-35% of the world’s total wealth.
- United States: The United States is one of the wealthiest countries globally, and it often accounts for a substantial share of global wealth. In 2021, the U.S. held an estimated 30-35% of the world’s total wealth.
- Canada: Canada is considered one of the high-income countries, but its population and economy are smaller than that of the United States. In 2021, Canada’s share of global wealth was estimated to be around 2-3%.
It’s important to note that these figures are rough estimates and can vary depending on the source and methodology used for wealth calculations. Additionally, wealth distribution within countries and regions can vary significantly, with some individuals or households holding a disproportionate share of wealth.
China and India’s Wealth
The percentage of global wealth of China and India as of September 2021:
- China: China has experienced rapid economic growth over the years and has become one of the world’s largest economies. In 2021, estimates suggested that China held approximately 15-20% of the world’s total wealth.
- India: India is also a significant economy with a large population. However, wealth distribution in India varies widely, with a significant portion of the population having lower wealth levels. In 2021, India’s share of global wealth was estimated to be around 3-4%.
Finally, the global wealth held by Africa, which is home to a diverse range of economies and wealth distribution patterns as of September 2021 was this. Keep in mind, that estimating the exact percentage of global wealth held by Africa can be challenging due to variations in economic conditions and limited comprehensive wealth data for all African countries. Additionally, Africa has a significant proportion of its population living in lower-income segments.
However, it’s important to note that Africa’s share of global wealth is generally considered to be relatively small compared to other regions, such as North America, Europe, and Asia. In 2021, Africa’s share of global wealth was estimated to be approximately 1-2% of the world’s total wealth.
Africa has a world population percentage of 17% rounding up but has 1-2% of the wealth.
China has a population greater than Africa, a world population percentage of 18% but still has a global wealth possession of 15-20%. China, with roughly the same population as Africa, has ten times as much of the global pie of wealth. India on the other hand has a world population of 17-18% but a global wealth of 3-4% – this may be why the video above clumped India and Africa together.
They are high populations with very low wealth and even worse, very poorly distributed within their lands. Had we blended China and India’s wealth they would have amassed 12% of the global wealth and 36% of the world population. Do you see how that is disproportionate to India?
Europe America and Canada’s Wealth
While they are only 12% of the world’s population, they possess 60-70% of the world’s global wealth. That is grossly disproportionated and a great reason why poverty is at scale. Especially so when we think about what is truly causing and causing the wealth disproportion, imperialism, colonialism, and the adverse excessively greedy version of capitalism, the gap should not be a surprise.
The remedy is to reverse what was done and is being done to continue to perpetuate the disparity. How do you reverse imperialism, colonialism, and the excessive greedy version of capitalism? It starts with the “R” word; repairing or what is called in this generation, reparations.
From a Geopolitical, socio-economical, and Biblical standpoint, repairing and reparations cannot and will not be done. The reason is because of the lingering effects of imperialism, colonialism, and adverse excessive greedy capitalism. Imperialism is the practice of extending a country’s power over other countries through territorial acquisition or by gaining economic and political control of other territories.
Imperialism can involve the use of hard power (military and economic might) and soft power (cultural and diplomatic might). The goal of imperialism is to acquire resources, often through exploitation and force. Imperialism is one of the most significant global phenomena of the last six centuries.
Imperialism can take many forms, including:
- Colony
- Protectorate
- Sphere of influence
- Economic imperialism
There is a difference. Imperialism is different from colonialism, which is when one country physically controls another. Colonialism can be thought of as the practice of domination, while imperialism is the idea behind the practice.
I went through the American education system through high school and even college and never heard of imperialism. It wasn’t until I picked up an album by a rap group called Dead Prez that I learned about imperialism in an interlude on their album called Wolves. Knowledgeable hip hop was my educational system, Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, and KRS-ONE (Knowledge Ranks Supreme Over Nearly Everybody).
Imperialism in a picture is displayed below:
What is being done in Africa is removing imperialism and neo-colonialism.
What is colonialism and neo colonialism? Colonialism is the act of one country taking control of another country and its people, often by establishing colonies. The colonizing country often aims to exploit the human and economic resources of the colonized country. The colonizing country may also force its own language and cultural values on the colonized people.
Colonialism is a type of exploitation and dominance where a foreign force takes control of a society and its resources. Here are some examples of colonialism:
- The colonization of the eastern seaboard of North America by England
- The Spanish and Portuguese Conquest of Latin America
- The British and French Conquest of North America
- The long control exercised by the British Empire over much of North America, parts of Africa, and India
- The mass migration of Dutch, German, and French settlers to South Africa
- The brutal regime of Belgium under King Leopold II, known as “the Butcher of Congo”
Colonialism has had both good and bad consequences. For example, it brought about breakthroughs in infrastructure and technology. However, it also led to forced migration, violence, and oppression of indigenous people.
Neocolonialism is the continuation of imperialist rule by a state, usually a former colonial power, over another nominally independent state. It is a form of new economic control and resource plundering by developed countries that rebuilt after the disintegration of the old colonial system in the postwar period.
Neocolonialism is Subtle
Neocolonialism can be described as the subtle propagation of socio-economic and political activity by former colonial rulers aimed at reinforcing capitalism, neo-liberal globalization, and the cultural subjugation of their former colonies. It maintains the same oppressive system but operates under the guise of economic and cultural assistance, but truly is economic and cultural dominance.
Thus Africa, at least some states, are removing the bands of Western Europe and the West altogether. The only way to walk this back is a collective effort by all nations. Yet, in the current geopolitics, this seems an impossible task, which will have to be done by force. This is often called a revolution.
The Bible calls it by another name; the Millenial Reign of the Anointed Son; the end of the Gentile Rule, the nations will no longer be the custodians or facilitators of the world’s wealth and resources. Why?
They have done a poor job taking care of the poor.
One of the major sins of Sodom and Gomorrah was their lack of assistance to the poor and needy (Ezekiel 16:49). Their arrogance and wicked abominations caused the Great Spirit to remove them as he deemed fit. The Great Creator established a system for His people to thrive and to keep poverty at bay, but it has been dismissed and ignored by the nations. Giving to the poor is negatively viewed by those who have because today we have been influenced by our rulers. However, the Great Spirit has always taught us to give to the poor and needy fully according to their needs (Deuteronomy 15:7-8).
The wealth and poverty and the way of the nations are broken. We know how to fix it, we have to become a true Kingdom of Priests, a true Royal Nation, and Priesthood. KingdomOfPriests.com is the way and we will establish our piece of the collective by following the principles taught by the Eternal Father through His Anointed Son.
For religions, Christians, and biblical astute or aware individuals, it is high time we get into geopolitics, socioeconomics, spiritual militarism, spiritual communities, collaborative finances, and more. We have to work with Africa, the land of Shem, and other nations, preaching the gospel, doing to your neighbor as you would have them do to you, and responsibly with care and love weeding out dissenters and those still clothed with the wickedness of the perverse nations on them.
This will be done; the questions are, how will you participate, and what side of the spectrum will you reside? For you and I to even know the answers, we have to unlearn and relearn a lot of spiritual things in order to bring them into the physical realities we live in daily.
Praise the Eternal Father, honor to the Anointed Son.
As always, be strong and very courageous.
